Oh Galilee.

Oh my heart. I have such tender feelings for Galilee. I can't describe to you what kind of place it is. I will just give you glimpses of light that I saw while I was there.

Nazareth. The town that Christ was raised in. DAAAAAAAH.

Church of John, the father of Christ. 

The Roman Catholic Church--The Church of the Annunciation. It is the largest Christian church in the Middle East.

There were lots of scenes of Mary and Christ on all of the walls inside the church. Here is a Japanese version. <3

This boat was found in the 1980's when there was a severe drought in the Sea of Galilee and they found this boat in the muddy shallows. They did all sorts of tests and it dated back to Christ's time. So this boat represents the boat that Christ and his apostles could of sailed on in the Sea of Galilee.

Yardenit. A baptismal place on the river Jordan. We got to see a baptism there! I was beautiful.

The next morning we woke up and left our kabbutz, Ein Gev, to take a little boat ride on the sea of Galilee.

It was beautiful. It really is as calm as the scriptures say. Christ really is so anxious to calm our every worry and fear.

We sang this song as the boat made its way to the center of the sea, it was surreal. We stopped in the middle and my New Testament teacher Brother Schade gave us a devotional on how Christ is so aware of our situations and knows what we need. We sat there silently. He gave every single one of us a the opportunity to pause and watch the water. It was a tremendous moment in my life to watch those waters come to a complete calm at one point. He can provide that for us in our lives, if we have complete faith in Him and His plan for us. I tesify that peace can and will come to those who come unto the Savior. It is what Christ did for Peter when his faith wavered when he walked on water, but Christ immediately stretched forth his hand. When the storm was raging, Christ was asleep and calm. The apostles cried out to him and asked him to help them, and Christ stood up confidently and resolutely and commanded the waters,

"Peace, be still."

We went to the Church of the Loaves and Fishes. It had a beautiful courtyard. Luke 9:10-17

Capernaum. The home of Peter, Andrew, and possibly Matthew. It was were Christ stayed and administered to the people there.

Mount of Beatitudes

This church commemorates the Sermon on the Mount. It is a 8 sided church to represent each one of the attitudes. (Matt 5-7)

We had the opportunity to walk down the hill that Christ possibly taught the Sermon on the Mount.

"And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him: And he opened his mouth, and taught them"

We ended the day with a bonfire next to the Sea of Galilee. <3
